So in my time doing Rocky Horror, I have had the opportunity to shadowcast some movies other than just Rocky Horror. Most commonly, I have had the opportunity to shadow Shock Treatment.

However, we had some unique opportunities on Friday nights during the summers at Cinema 35 in Paramus, NJ (in the mid-late 90s) which gave us the opportunity to shadowcast Clue and The Who's Tommy. Both were awesome.

I know several casts have done Repo! What other movies have you or your cast shadowed?

I got to play the part of Harry Weiss, for a shadowcast of Shock Treatment. I was also in rehearsals for Clue, as Mr. Green, but the theater shut us down and we never got to go live with it.

We've been doing Shock Treatment about once a year now for the past five years, and I'm sure its been done many other times before that. We've alternated theatres every time to keep it fresh and to bring it to a new audience, because of the distance of our theatres there isn't a whole lot of crossover save for the truly dedicated.

We do alternate between Rocky Horror and Repo! The Genetic Opera every other month at the Orpheum Theatre in Foxboro. We've been doing Repo! since April of 2009 and its been a lot of fun. Its not a replacement per-se to RHPS, but it something different but done in a familiar way (heck, this subject could be its own thread!).

We've also been doing Dr. Horrible's Sing-A-Long Blog and Buffy The Vampire Slayer's musical episode, "Once More With Feeling" both at theatres and on the road.

We haven't done any other films for quite a while but in the past we've done Clue, South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Un-Cut, and Army of Darkness. There are probably others but that was B.C. (before Chris).

I was about to say, I'm very impressed with the RKO Army's shadow casting repertoire.

My favorite movie that I've shadowcast is Cannibal! The Musical, it was a lot of fun and really easy to put on.

I have always wanted to shadow cast Sweeney Todd. Never done anything about it though. I'm not sure if there is enough interest.

I'm still mad at them for skipping "God, That's Good."

On a personal basis, I've done both Brad in Shock Treatment, and Winslow/The Phantom in Phantom of the Paradise. Both were at the 2007 We Are Rocky Palooza.

On a cast basis, FFO had a short run doing Hedwig and the Angry Inch in the Fall of 2007.

I think that would be awesome. I'd totally be into that.

I personally hate the term "shadowcast". Maybe it's just me being old and curmudgeonly, but when I was performing at 8th Street in NYC, we weren't a shadowcast, we were The Floorshow. People didn't come to see RHPS, they came to see US!
